The Global Vantage Point nasce da un’idea semplice: divulgare le analisi e le opinioni collaborando con esperti che siano studenti o professori, manager o membri della comunità, diplomatici o politici, magari poco conosciuti, riguardo a dinamiche ed eventi internazionali più rilevanti, quelli che influiscono sulla vita di tutti noi.

Perché creare una piattaforma nuova?

Perché ciò che è disponibile ora, non è abbastanza. Inondati da informazioni ma poco spesso da opinioni o analisi utili o funzionali, siamo in balia di chi ha la capacità di attrarre followers, senza dover dar loro conto della qualità dei loro contenuti. La nostra società e distratta e attratta dal rumore e non dai segnali.

Per questo motivo noi a The Global Vantage Point ci uniamo a quei progetti e a quelle piattaforme che già oggi si impegnano per portare dei contenuti che si basano sui fatti, preparati per essere alla portata di tutti.

Tutto questo è insito in una visione che condividiamo a The Global Vantage Point: siamo tutti parte di una rete globale fatta da persone e popoli diversi tra loro, ma che condividono questo splendido mondo. Per questo abbiamo tutti la responsabilità di costruire un mondo in cui il confronto fattuale sia per tutti e al centro del dibattito politico.

Cosa non sarà e cosa non può essere The Global Vantage Point? Una piattaforma per una singola e semplice verità. Non ci ergeremo a bastioni dell’unica ragione, ma faremo del nostro meglio per portare testimonianze e opinioni per fare in modo che chi ci legge possa sviluppare un pensiero critico onesto rispetto alle complessità che si incontrano nel mondo.

The Global Vantage Point was born from a simple idea: to disseminate analysis and opinions by collaborating with experts whether they are students or professors, managers or community members, diplomats or politicians about the most relevant international dynamics and events, those that affect the lives of all of us.

Why create a new platform?

Because what is available now is not enough. We are inundated with information but seldom with useful opinion or analysis. We are at the mercy of those who have the ability to attract followers, without holding them accountable for the quality of their content. Our society is distracted and attracted by noise and not by signals.

That is why we at The Global Vantage Point join those projects and platforms that are already working to bring fact-based content for all.

All of this is inherent in a vision we share at The Global Vantage Point: we are all part of a global network made up of peoples who are different from each other, but who share this beautiful world. That is why we all have a responsibility to build a world in which factual confrontation is for everyone and at the center of policy debate.

What will not and cannot be The Global Vantage Point? A platform for a single and simple truth. We will not stand as a bastion of the only truth, but we will do our best to bring testimonies and opinions to make sure that those who read us can develop honest critical thinking with respect to the complexities encountered in the world.
